Akal
Akal is our Sedona Red Rock Tour's Shaman guide.
Akal has studied with shamans around the world - Cree Elders in Canada, Curanderos in Costa Rica, Ayahusqueros in Peru and many Multi Dimensional Wisdom Keepers in Sedona. He was a student of Osha and studied White Tantra and Kundalini Yoga with Yogi Bhajan. His studies have included Kabbalah, Keys of Enoch, Alchemy, The Mayan Calandar, Sufism and various other religious, mystical and metaphysical teachings. This makes his sharing very diverse, unique and expansive.
Akal is a veritable library of ancient knowlege and esoteric information. He is a wonderful guide and each tour with him is a Sacred Ceremony. His guided meditations at the vortex sites have been called profound and transformational. His drumming and chanting will transport you to a higher plane.
Akal has been exploring the trails and back country of Sedona for a long while and always knows great places to visit for our Guided Hikes.
Akal's knowledge of photography makes him a very useful and informative guide on our photography tours.
Akal also teaches private meditation sessions and does our Soul Retrievals and Aura Clearing Sessions.

Akal lived in Costa Rica for 8 years and was a co-founder of El Santuario de La Luz with his wife Iala. He lived off the grid and reforested 24 acres of rainforest. He was the local massage therapist and chiropractor working for mangoes and bananas. He also ran an internet cafe and was the founder and guide for the Manzanillo Beach Sunset Horse Tour Company.
Akal toured for 9 years with the Mother Earth Children's Theatre Company in Canada playing the part of Mr. Music. The shows entertained, enlightened, educated and empowered children about the environment.
Iala
Iala is a certified fitness instructor and yoga teacher. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Drama.
She was one of the pioneers of aerobic fitness in Toronto, Canada in the early 80's.
She owned a company there called Lighten Up which specialized in Fitness Getaways.
In the mid 80's she visited the P.R. of China and found herself performing aerobics and singing in a stadium with 5,500 people a night. When she was asked to remain in China and teach the athletes this new wonder - aerobics - she caught the first flight out to capitalism - er - Hong Kong..
From 1994- 2001 Iala lived in Costa Rica where she founded El Santuario de la Luz a spiritual retreat center specializing in facilitating people who wish to "Drop In" to life, say yes to the possibilities and live fully a Life of Destiny.
While in Costa Rica she initiated several local cooperative businesses. She was also the local masseuse, was the owner/operator of an internet café/ real estate agency and she taught aquaerobics in an exclusive beachside resort and ran a Horse Back Riding Tour company.
Iala has her own record label, Roadrunner Releases that specializes in music that transforms and elevates the spirit, guided meditations and spiritual teachings as well as children's cosmic journey tapes. www.roadrunnerreleases.com
For the past 12 years, Iala has been the artistic director of Mother Earth Productions which has a mandate to entertain, educate and empower children about environmental issues. She has presented these performances over 1,500 times across Canada and the U.S.
Iala is currently living in beautiful, mystical Sedona. She is runs SEDONA SHAPE SHIFTER TOURS & WEDDINGS. Specializing in vortex tours and yoga on the Red Rocks. She teaches a daily JOYOGA class at SEDONA ROUGE HOTEL & SPA..
Iala is a certified hypnotherapist specializing in boosting confidence, weight loss and smoking cessation. She also does past life regression sessions, aura clearing, soul retrieval, spirtual coaching and teaches journaling and meditation and is a Spiritual Coach.

Iala leads a yearly yoga retreat to Costa Rica. Each retreat focuses on adventure, yoga, beautiful surroundings, delicious food, with the added bonus of empowering the individual, giving back to the community visited and expanding the hearts and minds of all involved. The tour participants will spend a portion of their vacation involved with a local project. We will leave our mark. We will make a difference. In Costa Rica a portion of all proceeds will go to buy land for Nature Preserves. Good Karma comes from good intention and great dharma (service). This is a foreign policy worth looking into.

Patricia
Patricia is a sweet soul, deeply connected to nature and the Spirit of Sedona. She is a gifted yoga and pilates instructor and has several fitness DVDs available.
Her study of yoga awakened her to the ancient science of Ayurveda. She has delved deeply into this tradition and is always amazed at how insightful and inspirational these teachings are in our lives. She delights in revealing the truth of a beings essence and nature through the doshas and teaching others how to balance and evolve using this powerful system.
Patricia loves to hike the trails of Sedona and share with others the beauty and splendour that is Sedona. She also teaches meditation and journaling.
